New Bern is getting geared up for the Tulip Extravaganza, otherwise known as the Spring Home & Garden Tour, which will be held this weekend. This year the (locally) famous Blades Mansion is on the tour. New owners have spent a lot of time and money refurbishing the old beautiful landmark, one of the few remaining signposts that point out a stellar past of millionaires who made their money from the timber industry. Seeing that part of New Bern's history will be fun for all....and then there's the tulips!!
